Step-by-Step Aeron Headrest Installation Instructions

• Remove the arm assembly from the box.
  
• Hook it onto the center of the chair back, just under the top backrest.
  

Tip: When centering the mechanism, run your fingers along the top of the chair back under the plastic shell—you should feel 1, 2, or 3 raised dots. These dots indicate your Aeron chair size (Size A = 1 dot, Size B = 2 dots, Size C = 3 dots) and help ensure the headrest is properly center-aligned.

• Locate the Allen wrench included in the hardware bag.
  
• Lightly tighten the main screw by hand to secure the arm mechanism against the chair.
• Ensure it stays evenly centered.
  

• Use the long end of the Allen wrench to firmly tighten the screw.
  
• The mechanism should now be securely attached to the chair back.
  

• Locate the three screws in the hardware pack.
  
• Position the headrest frame onto the arm mechanism.
• Align the arrow on the headrest with the slot in the arm mechanism (arrow pointing upward).

• Lightly tighten one screw into each of the left and right holes of the headrest by hand.
  
• Once aligned, use the Allen wrench to fully tighten the screws into the metal bracket.

• Use the third screw to secure the plastic cover to the center hole on the back of the headrest.
  
• This provides a clean, polished appearance.

• Gently move the headrest through its full range of motion.
  
• Confirm that it moves smoothly and holds position properly.
