Step-by-Step Embody Headrest Installation Instructions
1. Prepare the Tools and Chair
- Locate the 3/16" Allen wrench in the hardware pack.
Important: Do not use a metric Allen wrench—it may damage the screws.- Peel off the blue protective tape from the mount area of your chair.
- Apply the clear protective film to the chair spine for added protection (optional but recommended).
2. Loosen the Mount Screws
- Loosen the screws at the base of the arm stalk to separate it into two pieces (top and bottom mount pieces).
Tip: Keep the screws in the smaller back piece for easy alignment.
- The longer screw inserts into the top hole.
- The shorter screw inserts into the lower hole.
3. Position the Arm Mount
- Place the larger front piece of the mount against the back of the chair.
- Align the smaller back piece to fit behind the spine.
- Press both pieces together, sandwiching the chair spine securely.
4. Lightly Fasten the Screws
- Start by gently tightening the bottom screw.
- Adjust the mount for alignment and insert the top screw.
Caution: Be careful not to cross-thread the screws. If it feels off, back it out and realign.
5. Firmly Tighten the Screws
- Once both screws are aligned and seated, use the Allen wrench to fully tighten both.
6. Attach the Headrest Frame
- Locate the two cushion screws in the hardware pack.
- Position the cushion onto the top of the arm stalk, aligning the holes.
- Lightly hand-tighten the screws, then firmly tighten with the Allen wrench.
7. Test Headrest Movement
- Move the headrest through its full range of motion to ensure it's securely attached and operating smoothly.
Vertical Tension
- To increase holding resistance: turn the screw inside the arm clockwise.
- To decrease resistance: turn it counterclockwise.
Horizontal Tension
- Adjust the bottom knob:
- Clockwise to increase resistance
- Counterclockwise to decrease resistance
- Use the Allen wrench in the center of the knob for extra leverage if needed
Your Atlas Headrest is now installed and ready to support your ergonomic comfort!
