Step-by-Step Embody Headrest Installation Instructions

1. Prepare the Tools and Chair
  1. Locate the 3/16" Allen wrench in the hardware pack.
WarningImportant: Do not use a metric Allen wrench—it may damage the screws.
  1. Peel off the blue protective tape from the mount area of your chair.
  2. Apply the clear protective film to the chair spine for added protection (optional but recommended).
2. Loosen the Mount Screws
  1. Loosen the screws at the base of the arm stalk to separate it into two pieces (top and bottom mount pieces).
Tip: Keep the screws in the smaller back piece for easy alignment.
  1. The longer screw inserts into the top hole.
  2. The shorter screw inserts into the lower hole.
3. Position the Arm Mount
  1. Place the larger front piece of the mount against the back of the chair.
  2. Align the smaller back piece to fit behind the spine.
  3. Press both pieces together, sandwiching the chair spine securely.
4. Lightly Fasten the Screws
  1. Start by gently tightening the bottom screw.
  2. Adjust the mount for alignment and insert the top screw.
Caution: Be careful not to cross-thread the screws. If it feels off, back it out and realign.
5. Firmly Tighten the Screws
  1. Once both screws are aligned and seated, use the Allen wrench to fully tighten both.
6. Attach the Headrest Frame
  1. Locate the two cushion screws in the hardware pack.
  2. Position the cushion onto the top of the arm stalk, aligning the holes.
  3. Lightly hand-tighten the screws, then firmly tighten with the Allen wrench.
7. Test Headrest Movement
  1. Move the headrest through its full range of motion to ensure it's securely attached and operating smoothly.
Adjust the Tension
Vertical Tension
  1. To increase holding resistance: turn the screw inside the arm clockwise.
  2. To decrease resistance: turn it counterclockwise.
Horizontal Tension
  1. Adjust the bottom knob:
    1. Clockwise to increase resistance
    2. Counterclockwise to decrease resistance
    3. Use the Allen wrench in the center of the knob for extra leverage if needed
Your Atlas Headrest is now installed and ready to support your ergonomic comfort!
