How to Identify the Color of Your Herman Miller Aeron Chair
When purchasing a Herman Miller chair directly from the manufacturer, a warranty sticker is included that contains the SKU. This SKU can help you easily identify your chair's color. Here’s how you can locate and use it:
1. Locate the Label
- Start by locating the warranty label, which is typically found underneath the seat of your chair. This label contains key information, including the SKU.
2. Find the SKU
- On the label, you’ll see a long alphanumeric code—this is the SKU. It provides specific details about your chair, including the color.
3. Identify the Fabric Color Code
- Look at the last group of numbers in the SKU. These numbers represent the fabric color code. Here’s an example to clarify:

4. Reference the Color Charts
- Once you have the fabric color code, you can reference the Color Charts below to find the exact color of your chair.
If you don't have a SKU, no worries! Simply scroll past the color charts for more detailed instructions.
If you’ve purchased your chair second-hand or refurbished, it’s common for the warranty sticker to be removed.
For identifying your Aeron chair, note that the fabric types and colors vary significantly between models. The Classic Aeron features a thick, vertical stripe mesh pattern, while the Remastered version showcases a thinner vertical striped, tri-colored weave.
